Photo competitions & calendars
Every year our members share photographs of the places, people and traditions that shaped them. The pictures are exhibited, voted on and printed in our yearly calendar.

2023 · First exhibition
BWS Summer Fest, Fridas Pier, Stuttgart
On 30 June 2023 the chapter held its first exhibition at the Fridas Pier in Stuttgart during the BWS Summer Fest, funded by the Association of Scholarship Holders and Friends of the Baden-Württemberg-STIPENDIUM. Pictures shared by alumni and friends of the chapter were shown and visitors voted for their favourites; the three most voted pictures were to receive a calendar and a T-shirt.

Threads of Tradition: Celebrating Cultural Tapestry
The exhibition at our 3rd National Conference at KIT in Karlsruhe (16 August 2024) showed 15 pictures from across Africa — Cameroon, Ghana, Mali, Côte d'Ivoire and Benin — a cultural bridge linking the conference to the wider African continent. Here is a selection.
